Offers make no sense

The offers feature is not friendly and needs to be modified. If I’m buying something and send an offer to the seller and their shop is having a sale or they are offering free shipping those offers should apply as well as what ever offer you send them especially if my cart is well over the amount the seller set their shop at to get free shipping it makes me never want to use the offer service feature at all. If I’m still buying something that was $30+ and their shop says “free shipping when you spend $30 or more” should apply. The offer that’s acceptEd should not overrule that they both should work. Or you need to add a feature in the offers section that also asks the seller “I want free shipping” then they can approve or deny.

From my view as a seller, if you make an offer it's usually less than the list price plus any discounts, so the sale discount was included in the offer you made. Why should I give an additional discount after the fact when you've already asked for one by making the offer that's less than the list price plus the sale discount?
For example: If my store has a 10% sale, and you offer 20% less, it makes no sense to require me to take 30% off. You've already gotten a discount more than what I'm offering in general.
Same goes for shipping. While I support the idea that free shipping should be included in the offer options (for both seller and buyer in both an initial offer and counter-offers), again as above, why would I make a sale that now requires me to accept your offer at a greater discount that I'm offering in general and have to pay shipping?
I understand buyers are looking for good value, but sellers are here to make money. If someone made a 20% off offer, and then I had to add an additional 10% off (for 30%) plus PB's commission of 20% (so I'm now getting 50% the list price) and cover cost of shipping (and the packing materials) because my store is having a sale, I'd have to reject the offer because the cut into my profit margin is too great and would likely, at that point, result in a loss rather than gain. I cannot make a sale that results in negative income.
Example: Book is offered for $6. Between offer and sale discounts and PB's commission, I'm now making $3. Media mail shipping is at least $4, and packing materials average about $0.50 (bit less for small envelopes, bit more for larger envelopes, significantly more for boxes and packing material). So, now my profit is $-1.50. I can't make that sale.
