Consideration of weekends and holidays in shipping timelines

I find it frustrating that the current shipping reminders do not account for weekends and federal holidays. As a seller, I would appreciate if the app could incorporate a calendar for shipping timelines similar to eBay, which considers business days and federal holidays. This would allow sellers like me to have a more accurate and fair shipping schedule, avoiding unnecessary penalties.

Adding a business-day calendar is unnecessary and actually hurts the buyer experience. Buyers think in calendar days, not federal holidays; if an order is placed on a Friday, they expect to see progress by Monday. Mimicking eBay’s complexity creates a 'lag' that only serves to frustrate customers.
Beyond the UX impact, incorporating a dynamic holiday/weekend calendar adds significant backend complexity for what is ultimately a marginal 'quality of life' improvement for sellers. Given the existing bugs we’ve seen—especially on the web side of the platform—the last thing the system needs is more convoluted logic that could lead to even more errors. The current system is clean: a day is a day. It keeps the marketplace moving fast and avoids over-engineering a solution for a problem that doesn't exist.

I would like to add in that as a buyer, I actually feel that it would give a more accurate expectation when purchasing stuff as well. Plus it adds undo stress to sellers as they feel a need to constantly inform the buyer that they can't ship until so-in-so day due to holidays, weekends, etc...which just leaves me to console them that I totally hold to the 2-3 BUSINESS days rule and not the unrealistic 2 days.
