A "Tiered Seller Program" that rewards high-performance sellers by reducing the platform commission percentage

I would like to propose a "Tiered Seller Program" that rewards high-performance sellers by reducing the platform commission percentage once specific milestones are reached. Currently, a flat fee applies to all, but a scalable model would incentivize sellers to consolidate their inventory and marketing efforts on Pango rather than cross-listing on other platforms.
Proposed Thresholds (The "Power Seller" Tiers):
The commission reduction could be triggered by one or a combination of the following:
Total Lifetime Sales ($$): e.g., reaching $5,000 in gross sales.
Sales Volume (#): e.g., successfully completing 500 orders.
Inventory Depth: e.g., maintaining a consistent library of 1,000+ active listings.
Why this is a "Win-Win" for Pango:
Sellers Retention: It discourages "Power Sellers" from migrating to platforms with lower fees once they’ve established a brand.
Increased Inventory: Sellers will be motivated to list more books to hit the next "discount tier," leading to a wider selection for buyers.
Marketplace Professionalism: High-volume sellers typically have more experience with shipping and customer service, reducing the support load on the Pango team.

We hear you and we're discussing ways we might be able to implement this. No promises yet but it's under consideration!

I would like to see some better accountability for sellers to ship out orders quicker.
Being on the receiving end, as I’ve purchased way more than I’ve sold on this site, it drives me nutty the slackness of some folks shipping things.
Granted this is not a business for most and they have lives, I get all of that. However, I also recognize that when you’re purchasing that coveted book or whatever it might be, you would like it sooner rather than later.
I find it is totally doable to ship an order out to a customer within a day, 2 at most (recognizing Sundays and holidays of course). If you don’t have the boxes or the materials to ship an item, you shouldn’t be selling items until you’re prepared.

Add a tier for consistent high ratings once a ratings threshold has been reached (say, 10 ratings, 4.8+). If the customer doesn't leave a rating within a period of time (90 days-ish), it should be counted as 5 stars (this is fairly common in customer service metrics because angry customers ALWAYS complain)

I just want to add that 1000+ in inventory is crazy high considering this is not really meant for businesses and on this platform most people have a small collection so even 100 inventory would be a bit high. Just saying this to keep Pango from turning into Ebay/Amazon overload.

Andrea oh my gosh Yesssss to this. I’ve been selling on every e-commerce platform and began when eBay started back in the late 90s and I run from the all now.
Of course the more popular sites have a bigger reach, but it’s nice being on a more niche site that caters to one basic category.
I was quite pleased to happen upon this site and I DO NOT want to turn it into eBay. I will jump ship in a heartbeat and dump all my books at the nearest Goodwill.
I agree with having tiers, because let’s be honest, a 20% dip into my potential profit totally stinks!!

I like this idea. I think doing it by sale count/activity/time selling actively on Pango would be a more reliable trigger than the amount of earnings though. Some people sell specialized books and hit $5000 way before those who sell a lot of books at a lower price bracket.

Agreed, other selling platforms have lower selling fees.

I would appreciate this lower sales fee for long-time sellers, especially.

Agreed. Between shipping costs and the low rates a lot of books sell for, it really doesn't make it worth it to sell on this platform for most titles.
